School Response to Confirmed COVID Case in School

Dear Parents and Carers

In response to the confirmed COVID-19 in one of our school community the school has reviewed our risk assessment to see if we can tighten up on some areas to help keep the whole school family safe.

We have consulted with Public Health England and followed all the procedures that are required of us.

All children have been reminded again about good hygiene use of hand sanitiser/hand washing and about keeping social distancing within their Year Group Bubbles.

We have had the Key Stage 1 and other school communal areas fully "Fogged" today with a chemical that kills viruses and stays on the surface for up to a month. This will be repeated next week across all areas. We already have daily deep cleaning taking place and have additional cleaning happening during the lunch break when the children are out of the classroom.

Parents and Carers can do their bit by continuing to keep to social distancing and by restricting the number of adults picking up and dropping off to one adult per family so numbers are reduced on site.

Home learning has been placed on the Year 2 Class Page so that the children can continue with their learning at home.

We as a school community can count ourselves fortunate that we have been spared so far other schools in the area have had to close down Bubbles earlier in the term.

We can all hope and pray for a speedy recovery and that the school will be back to normal soon
