Multi-cultural Fortnight
This week we finished our multi-cultural fortnight where the children have been taking part in celebrating other cultures and religions.
In our very diverse community it is very important to celebrate, show respect and tolerance for the values and beliefs of others. If we all showed a little more tolerance and respect, then our world would be a more peaceful place.
The children have produced some beautiful display work on what they have been learning over the last two weeks which is on display in the school hall.
Friday Football
Friday Football for years 4, 5 and 6 started up again this week. We had lower numbers than we would normally have so hopefully next week we will be back to full strength. If your child wishes to take up Friday Football, please speak to me or ask at the office for a consent letter.
Children Supporting the Singing at Mass on Sunday
This Sunday at 10:00a.m the children are invited to support the St Simon’s Parish with their singing. The children always sing beautifully and so we would like to see as many children as possible supporting the parish at Mass.
Attendance
With our new electronic registration system, we have a number of children who are regularly not making it into school before registration closes. This means that they have been marked as late or absent this is going to have impact on their attendance figures and could mean that we have to implement fixed penalty notices.
Can I remind everyone that the children should be in class for 8:40a.m when the registration opens.
