Dear Parents and Carers

31Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." 32So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place. Mark 6:31-32

Today our Year 6 pupils said goodbye to us at their Leaver’s Assembly. It was a very fortunate that we were able to welcome their parents and carers to join us. The children entertained us with a dance, their beautiful singing and a very moving and humorous poem about their school memories. We are always sorry to see the children leave but at the same time they are ready to continue their learning at their new secondary schools.

St Simon’s will certainly be a quieter place without them!

We also said goodbye to: Leon and Fego Year 1, Tilly Year 2, Lilly Jayne and Nero Year 3, Daniel and Zach Year 4 we wish the children and their families the very best as they move onto new schools.

Mrs DuBois and Mrs Anthony will also be leaving us to take up new posts in new schools. I would like to thank them both for their hard work and wish them the very best in their new roles.

We will be welcoming Ms West to work alongside Mrs Warren in Year 5 and Miss Aleppo to work alongside Miss Leggett in Year 2.

I am sure that you will join me in wishing Miss Leggett the very best of luck and future happiness as she is getting married this Saturday. When we return to school she will be known as Mrs Morrison.
