Dear Parents and Carers

Unfortunately, we have seen a rise in COVID infection rates across the school both in pupils and school adults. This has meant that we have had to move staff around to cover classes where adults aren’t present. With this in mind and to help keep everyone safe please can all parents arrange to test their children for COVID 19 if they are unwell and if children test positive they should self-isolate.
Multi-Skills Festival
The multi-skills festival was cancelled at the very last minute leaving our team of Year 1 and 2 pupils very disappointed. Let us all hope that this event will be rescheduled in the very near future.
Football Tournament
On Saturday 26th March we are participating in the Ashford District Schools Football Tournament. I am sure you will join me in wishing our team from Year 5 and 6 the very best of luck. I am sure that they will give their very best.
Lenten Fund Raising
This week the children enjoyed a non-school uniform day and a Cinema Afternoon to raise money for the people of Ukraine this event raised £240.14 many thanks to everyone for their generosity.
Today the children took part in a sponsored walk event around the school to raise money for The Pilgrims Hospice. Could parents and carers return all sponsor forms and donations by Wednesday 30th March.
Next week our fund-raising event is an activity afternoon arranged by our Year 6 children. The children will be able to take part in activities such as a penalty shootout, nail bar, art competition etc. all activities are priced at 20 pence. Great fun and games for all the children.
Raffle tickets for our Easter Egg Raffle are still on sale until Thursday 31st March and we are still looking for more donations of Easter Eggs to raffle.
Cycle Circle Safety Training
We had to rearrange our Cycle Safely training this week due to one of the instructors not being able to attend school due to COVID. Year R received their training on Thursday. Year 1 will receive training on Monday 28th and we will have to rearrange Year 2 for after Easter.
Dr Bike is due to attend school on Monday 28th March to complete minor repairs to bikes for free. All parents are asked to do is book their bike in at www.CycleCircle.co.uk
Stations of the Cross
On Wednesday 23rd March Year 3 and 4 took part in Stations of the Cross in St Simon’s Church and next Wednesday 30th March Year 1 and 2 will have their opportunity.
End of Term Mass
On Thursday 31st March at 9:30 a.m. we are holding our end of term Mass in the Church. This is the first time the whole school will be together to celebrate Mass this academic year. As with all our liturgy parents and carers are welcome to join us.
Passion Reflection
On Friday 1st April at 9:30 a.m in the school hall Year 4 will lead the school in our Passion Reflection when the school will take time to think about the sacrifice that Jesus made for us all. Parents are welcome to attend.
Pray for Peace
Please can everyone please remember to pray for peace in our world especially in Ukraine.
