Dear Parents and Carers
“When we experience the love of God, we are more able to share this with our neighbour.” Pope Francis
Sponsored Walk
The children enjoyed taking part in our sponsored walk today. They all had great fun it was good to see how they had all dressed according to the theme chosen for their class. We had Kings and Queens, Disney characters, Harry Potters and Year 6 turning up in their pyjamas!
If parents and carers could return the funds raised as early as possible this would be greatly appreciated and once again Well Done Everyone!
School Choir
A great Big Thank you to all the school choir who supported the singing at Mass last Sunday we had a very good turn out and it was good to hear that so many families joined the children for the celebration.
The choir will be singing at the Diocesan Headteachers Conference on Thursday 7th November. We expect to see the children at school for 8:15a.m. The children will join pupils from St Teresa’s to lead the singing at this Mass. This is a great honour for both schools.
Reminder Next Friday is a Holy Day of Obligation for the feast of “All Saints”. On a Holy Day of Obligation Catholics are obliged to attend Mass.
For Mass times please check on St Simon Stock and St Teresa’s Parish Newsletters.
Year 6 Secondary School Admissions
Year 6 Parents and Carers have until the 31st October to apply for a place at a secondary school for September 2025. Parents are asked to make a choice of up to 4 school places. I strongly recommend that parents and carers make sure they nominate 4 schools.
