Children In Need
Friday 17th of November is the BBC Children In Need Day the children are asked to come into school dressed in spots or they can wear their Children In Need tee-shirts, Pudsey Ears etc. The children will during the day be taking part in Joe Wicks “Bearpee Challenge” where we will challenge each class to do 1000 “Bearpees” That’s around 33 per child in each class!
All we ask is that the children donate to Children in Need to join in the fun.
Goodbye Fr. Hans
Fr Hans will be celebrating his last Mass in St Simon’s Church on Sunday 19th November we would like as many children as possible to join and support the singing at 10:00a.m Mass. This would be an excellent way of saying thank you to Fr. Hans for all he has done for the children.
Year 5 Remembrance Liturgy
Today Year 5 led the school in our act of remembrance. This was a very moving liturgy which reminded us all of the sacrifice that was given and sadly the effect that conflict and war has on the whole of humanity.
In this time of trouble let us all remember to pray for peace in our troubled world. Well done to Year 5 for their hard work and well done Ms West, Mrs Dorman and Mrs Kirwan
Year 6 Class Mass 15th November
On Wednesday 15th November at 9:30 a.m. Year 6 will have a Mass celebrated in their classroom. As with all our Liturgies parents and carers are very welcome to join us.
School Football Team
The team will be playing a match at Repton Manor Primary School on Friday 10th November. I am sure that they will give their very best. This means that this week there was no Friday Football as it is an away match. Friday Football will be on again next week.
Reminder
All children are expected to wear full school uniform. Please can parents make sure that all uniform items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
With best wishes
