Dear Parent and Carers
It has been great to have the all the children and staff back at school after such a long period of time. The children seem to be enjoying being back in the classroom and meeting with their friends once again.
It may take all of us a little while to get back into the full school routine again, and I am sure that there may well be some very tired children and school staff going home today.
Well done to everyone for following our guidance to help keep everyone safe. It is extremely important that we all follow our COVID-19 Home School Agreement so that we do not have to close down any more classes.
Please can I remind everyone that our school office is still closed to visitors.
To preserve social distancing when you are picking up and dropping off children if you can leave the school site as quickly as possible through the correct exit gates. (a quick goodbye to children in the morning would be very much appreciated.)
Remote Learning/Home learning
We are always trying to improve what we offer the children and your opinions and views really matter. We have issued a survey to all parents as we wish to have your views on the remote/home learning that was set during the lock down. The survey will only take a few minutes to complete and can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LHGKHMT
Lenten Fund Raising
Our fund raising during this Lent has got off to a good start the children all took part in their sponsored run/walk for the “Cafod Walk for Water” please remember to send the donations in using your Parent Pay account.
Next Friday 19 March is Dress as a Super Hero to raise money for Comic Relief. I am sure that the children will have great fun taking part in this while at the same time raising valuable funds for this very worthwhile charity.
Stations of the Cross
Next week the children in Years 1 to 6 as part of their preparation for Easter will be attending Stations of the Cross in the Church. This will of course be under COVID restrictions: only one Year Group Bubble will go over to the church at the time, there will be no public access to the church while we are there and extra cleaning will be completed between groups taking part.
We are opening our Afterschool Club again next week. The club runs until 4:30p.m and costs £4:00 per session this must be booked and paid for in advance using your Parent Pay account. A booking form can be found on the “Parents Tab> School Clubs”
Unfortunately we cannot run a Breakfast Club at this time as not enough parents have shown interest in this.
Reminder return of loaned laptops
As the children are now all back in school we are now recalling all the laptops that were lent out to children during lockdown as these are needed for children to work on in school. All loaned laptops need to be returned by Monday 15 March.
