Dear Parents and Carers
“Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come.
We have only today. Let us begin.” St Teresa of Calcutta
Congratulations on Home Learning
I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone for their great response to Home Learning.
I don’t think any of us could have predicted that we would find ourselves once again in the position of another full lockdown. I have to admire parents having to manage to deliver home learning while perhaps having to complete their own work if you are working from home etc. Well done to all!
We at school are continually trying to improve what we are offering the children while they are at home:
• On Monday 18th January we are introducing Zoom meetings for all classes to give the children the opportunity to speak to their class teacher and see their classmates. (For more details please refer to the separate posting on this webpage)
• On our Literacy Page Miss Leggett has posted two story reading sessions one for KS1 and one for KS2
• On our music page and class pages Mrs Withey-Harrison has posted lots of fun activities for the children to do in music and dance!
• Exercise and keeping fit is important so Mr Hunt has uploaded his P.E activities on all the class pages there is a routine for KS1 and one for KS2.
Children in all classes as part of their home learning will be looking at different cultures and religions. This work is particularly important as it will help the children to understand and appreciate the diverse world that we live in.
***Help with Technology***
If you require any help with Home Learning or support with technology or have difficulty accessing the home learning please don’t hesitate to contact the school either on email@example.com or call the school office we will do everything we can to help.

Year 2 Bubble Closed this Week
Unfortunately, this week we had another positive test for COVID in our Year 2 Year Bubble which meant we have had to close down this group until Monday.
School remains closed to all children with the exception of children of “Critical Workers” or children who are considered vulnerable. The Government has also stated that children of “Critical Workers” who can stay at home should do so.
It seems that more of the school community are being “touched” by this virus and so we all need to stick to the Government guidance so that we can all come out of lockdown and get the children back to school as soon as possible.
With best wishes
