Dear Parents and Carers
“Jesus leads us to go out from ourselves more and more, to give ourselves and to serve others.” Pope Francis
School Values Week
This week the children have been celebrating school values of: Love, Peace, Courage, Respect, Faith and Forgiveness. Our school values are very important to us as a school family as by following our school values we aim to fulfil our school mission:
“To work, learn, pray and play together to fulfil God’s unique plan for each and every one of us.”
School Council
Our new school council met for the first time this week and have been discussing ideas for their first fund raising events which will help finance some of their projects which they will be working towards this year. I am always amazed by the ideas the children come up with. We will of course keep you fully informed of what they wish to do.
Educational Review
On Wednesday 25th September our trust KCSP will be carrying out an educational review at the school. We will be working with three visitors who are Area School Improvement Partners and ex-headteachers. They will be looking at all aspects of the school life and will be talking to parents before school on Wednesday to gain your views on how things are going at the school. Please share your views if you are stopped on Wednesday morning.
Children Arriving Late
The school gates are open for pupils at 8:30a.m and the children are all expected to be in class for registration at 8:40a.m. If your child arrives after 8:40a.m they may be marked as late. If your child arrives after 8:55a.m when our registers close your child will be marked absent for the morning session. This could lead to a fixed penalty notice as these absences will not be authorised unless there is a legitimate reason for the lateness.
Parental Concerns
If you have any concerns or complaints about falling outs between children, please can parents and alert the school to these and let us resolve the issues rather than approaching the other parents directly as this can often escalate the problem or concern.
Congratulations Mrs Morrison
This week we received the news that Mrs Morrison has given birth to a beautiful baby boy named Theo. Both mother and baby are doing very well. I am sure you will join us in wishing Mrs Morrison and her family the very best for their new arrival.
With best wishes
Peter McCabe
