Dear Parents and Carers
Congratulations to everyone again for the huge efforts with the engagement with the children’s home learning. We are here to support parents and carers with home learning so if you are having difficulties please don’t hesitate to contact us on the home learner email: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone the school during office hours. We will try to respond to your request as soon as possible.
The Government recommended time for pupils to spend on home learning for Key Stage 1 children is 3 hours per day and for Key Stage 2 children is 4 hours per day.
With home learning we as a school recommend that you establish a routine that works best for your family situation. Please remember to include exercise into the children’s daily routine.
Help with Technology
If you are having difficulty accessing the home learning, please don’t hesitate to contact us using home learner email we may be able to help.
This week we started weekly Zoom meetings for all classes to enable the children to speak to their teacher and see their classmates. It gave the children the opportunity to discuss their work and any difficulties they may have had. The teachers were also able to give the children some helpful advice and feedback about completing their work. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed taking part in the meetings.
See earlier post on the Latest News for full details on how to access meetings and for the meeting protocols.
School Meal Vouchers
We have ordered vouchers for children who are entitled to benefits related Free School Meals. Voucher codes are due to arrive within 3 working days.
Art Competition “A View from My Window
We have already received many entries for this competition so if your child hasn’t entered the competition there is still plenty of time. Please remember to explore some of the other links on the class pages as the teachers are always adding more links to inspire the children’s imaginations.
