Dear Parents and Carers
“The Lord is coming. May we await him with open hearts!” Pope Francis
This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent the season when we make preparations for the celebration of Christmas. It is also a time of hope as we think about Jesus’ return at the end of time. Advent is a time to make a fresh start.
School Christmas Fayre
Preparations are well underway for our Christmas Fayre on Friday 9th December like last year we are hoping to run this outdoors as this helped make the Fayre feel really festive. This will obviously be dependent on the weather.
We always rely on help from parents and carers to help with the preparations leading up to the fayre and on the day so if you feel you can help please let the office know or speak to me on the school gate.
Most importantly we need you to join us for the fayre.
Many thanks to all Santa’s little helpers who have helped to wrap presents and help prepare our colour raffle etc. Many thanks for all the donations to date they are very much appreciated.
Next Friday we are holding another non-school uniform day in return for bottles for our bottle stall (Nice bottles that mums and dads may like to drink!)
School Christmas Dinner
School Christmas Dinner Day is on Wednesday 14th December. If you wish your child to have a school Christmas dinner, please can you make sure that you order this using the form sent out last week by Friday 2nd December.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 are entitled to a free meal but our school cook needs to the forms back so that she can make sure she orders enough food for everyone.
Children in KS2 unless they are entitled to benefits related free school meals have to pay £2.59 in advance using their Parent Pay account.
School Nativity
We have two planned performances for our Reception and Key Stage 1 Nativity. Wednesday 7th December at 9:30a.m and Thursday 8th December at 2:00p.m.
Last year because of COVID we had to restrict numbers and make this a ticket event. This year we are not planning to operate a ticket system but ask parents to appreciate that due to fire regulations we can only fit a certain number of people in our school hall so can parents and carers be sensible when turning up to watch.
