Weekly News Friday 26 February

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to the beginning of term 4. I am sure that you are all as pleased as we were to hear the news that all children will be expected to return to school on Monday 8 March. I am sure that this is very welcome news and hopefully this will be the end of remote education.

When all the children return we will still have our school risk assessment with controls in place to help prevent the risk of spread of infection for more information please look here:

We have also updated our COVID 19 home school agreement for full reopening on Monday 8 March which can be found on our Key Information Tab on the school website.

I do need to take this opportunity to remind parents that even though some of the COVID restrictions are now beginning to be relaxed starting with the reopening of school we all still have to make sure that we keep following Government advice so that we definitely do not have to go through another lock down.

Lenten Fund Raising

This week as part of our Lenten fund raising the children have been asked to take part in our Lenten Quest. Please see the children’s Class Pages for more details.

Next week during the class Zoom Meetings the children are being asked to take part in a “Crazy Hair Day” when they can join their class mates in using their imaginations to show off their craziest hair designs.

On the week beginning the 8 March when all the children return to school we will be holding a sponsored walk around the school.

On Friday 19 March we are taking part in Comic Relief when the children are going to be asked to come to school dressed as a Super Hero.

Then on the final week of term we are planning to hold our Year 6 activity afternoon when Year 6 plan activities for the other classes to take part in.

We are waiting for all our Year 6 to return to school so that they can plan a COVID safe event.

For all our events please check the Latest News Tab or Class Pages on the website

World Book Day Thursday 4 March

Look out for our World Book Day Scavenger Hunt on the children’s Class Pages.

School Uniform

This is an advance warning but we will be expecting all children to be wearing the correct school uniform on return to full opening on Monday 8.

Uniform can be purchased from:

Breakfast and Afterschool Club

When we return to full reopening we will only be able to run breakfast and afterschool club only if we have enough numbers to make this viable. If you are interested in Breakfast or Afterschool Club please can you contact me via email or through the school office.
