Weekly News Friday 28 May

Dear Parents and Carers

“There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.” St Thomas Aquinas

This week we put on our art exhibition in the school grounds. It was great to see the joy on the children’s faces as they showed parents their work. The work on display in the school grounds was only a fraction of the art that the children produced during our art week. The children have displayed a lot of work inside the school hall and in the classrooms. It is a shame that at this moment in time we still can’t invite people into the school. Hopefully restrictions will be eased soon so that we can get back to normal.

Sports Day: We are very hopeful that we will be able to hold our Sports Day on Friday 25th June and we have plans in place so that parents and carers can join us for the Sports in the morning followed by our usual picnic. However this will be dependent on the Government releasing restrictions on the 21 June and of course the weather!

School Reports and Parents Evening: After the half term holiday you will be receiving your child’s school report and we will be holding parents evenings once again online via the “School Cloud” system.

The dates are Monday 14 June and Thursday 17 of June. Unfortunately Mrs Warren in Year 5 isn’t available on Thursday 16 June and she will be available on Wednesday 16 June instead. Full details of how to long into the system and book your appointment will be released after the half term holiday.

School Photographs: This week the children had their school photographs taken we managed to take: individual, class and family group photographs. The children should have received a ticket which can be scanned to enable parents and carers to be able to order their photographs which makes the whole process COVID secure.

Reporting Positive Test Results: If your child tests positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19) during the May half-term break (29 May 2021 – 06 June 2021 inclusive), please report this to the school via our Trust’s positive pupil case notification form, which can be accessed here: Report your child has tested positive for Covid-19

Food Vouchers: Parents and carers of children who are entitled to receive benefits related free school meals should receive their food vouchers on Tuesday 1 June.

EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS): The deadline for applications for the EUSS is the 30 June. Parents need to apply for themselves and for all individual children.

For additional guidance click for a very useful leaflet. Applications to the EUSS are free and can be made online at www.gov.uk/eusettlementscheme, where you can also find out more information about how to apply.

Next week is half term holiday I wish everyone a restful and peaceful break let us all pray for some fine weather so that we can all get out and enjoy some sunshine.

With best wishes
