Dear Parents and Carers

KCSP Beginning of Term Mass
This week our Year 6 joined schools across our trust at Aylesford Priory to celebrate our Beginning of Term Mass. This was a lovely occasion and great experience for our pupils to join with one another in a joint act of prayer and praise.
The children were able to explore the beautiful grounds of the priory and take part in a joint picnic lunch. The children’s behaviour and participation in the celebration was excellent. Well done children.
Children Invited to join the Parish for Mass on the 15th October
Children are again invited to join the Parish to support the singing at 10:00a.m Mass on Sunday 15th October. It is truly very special to hear the children singing in Mass they really do help to make the celebration. It would be good to see as many children there as possible.
Year 1 Local Area Visit
On Wednesday 4th October Year 1 will be going out to visit the shops and the local park as part of their studies. The children will need to wear a coat in case of poor weather and will be out all morning and return for lunch. Let us hope and pray that the weather is kind to the children.
Year 1 Bikeablilty
Today Year 1 took part in Cycle Safety training with the CycleCircle Team. Fortunately, the weather was kind to the children and all had a good time learning how to ride a two wheeled bicycle or a balance bike safely. This work is part of our overall Sports Strategy to help encourage and develop healthy life styles and is funded using some of our Primary Sports Funding.
The instructors praised the children for their excellent behaviour.
Bikes and Scooters
Can I remind all parents and carers that while we are doing all we can to encourage healthy lifestyles pupils are not permitted to ride scooters on the playgrounds, pathways and school car park. This is so we can avoid accidents.
School Council Sponsored Walk
To raise funds our School Council have decided to hold a “Barbie and Ken” themed sponsored walk around the school. I am not fully aware of what a “Barbie and Ken” themed walk is but the children all seem to know and are very excited about this!!!!
The sponsored walk will take place on Friday 6th October. I am sure all will have a great time while raising funds for the school council to use on projects which they wish to run.
