9 October 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

Coats at School

All children need a coat in school as the weather has turned really Autumnal now and it is certainly turning a lot wetter and colder. As part of our COVID risk assessment we will be sending the children outside in all but the worst of weather during break times and when lining them up outside for pick up at the end of the school day.

Keeping Your Distance

Please can I remind all parents to follow social distancing rules when arriving to pick children up from school current guidance is to stay a metre or more (ideally 2 metres) away from others. To restrict numbers on site please can parents remember to have only one adult for dropping off and picking up children. I am sure that everyone wants to avoid the situation that is happening in Scotland and the North of England were further stricter restrictions are being placed on communities and families. Let us all do our bit!

Parking

Just a gentle reminder regarding parking can we all please make sure we show consideration for our neighbours and not park on Noakes Meadow which is part of the School’s Parking Policy.

FLU Vaccination

We have been asked to remind all parents regarding Flu Vaccination that will be available for all children on Friday 16th October. Parents must apply online for this and every family has been given a letter with full details on how to do so if you require another letter please contact the school.

Harvest Festival

Year 3 will be leading the school in our “Virtual Harvest Festival” on Friday 23 October. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to have parents in to watch due to Social Distancing.

We do need donations of tinned and dried foods to create our harvest display and to send onto the Bright Light Church Foodbank. Please send donations in with the children and we collect these together for the Harvest Festival.

Kent Test

On Thursday 15 October some of our Year 6 children will be taking their Kent Test. We want to start the process at 8:30 a.m. so please can parents of the children sitting the test make sure that the children are in school by 8:15a.m at the latest.
