Reflection and Prayer
Intercessory prayers and reflection on Scripture are part of pupils’ life in St. Simon’s. Pupils from KS1 to KS2 recognise the need to offer prayers for themselves and others. They use Pope Francis’ Five Finger prayers as a model.
Reflection on passages from Scripture occur within Religious Education lessons and during the weekly Class Reflection time using readings for the day from ‘Pray Together, Daily Worship for Catholic Schools.'

Reflections

Living and Understanding the Liturgical Year.
As part of our Catholic ethos, all pupils are made aware, throughout the school year, of the changes and celebrations relating to the Church's Liturgical Year and their significance to our faith. These periods and events are highlighted, in our hall, our whole school theme displays, in every classroom’s through the focal point for prayer reflection and are also central to our collective worship.
