Year 5

Welcome to our Year 5 page.

Dear Parents...

Outdoor Education - Term 5

Year 5 have been busy learning outside this term - regardless of the weather. They have tidied up some of the planting areas, transplanted lots of strawberries, planted seeds, that they are nurturing in the green house, rebuilt the bug hotel, identified and aged the trees in our grounds, created landscape group art with whatever materials they could find and made Green Men as a traditional image of new life and spring. Next week, weather permitting they are looking forward to a camp fire! Here are some pictures of their artworks.

A Message from St Anselm's

Dear Parents and Carers,

We find ourselves in very different circumstances this year as we collectively fight against Covid 19. Whilst we would usually be holding taster days in June for Year 5 students, this will unfortunately not be happening this year.

I am very conscious that I wouldn’t want our Year 5 students to miss out on this and to that end we have at St Anselm’s put together two videos (one for parents and one for students) that will hopefully give you and your child a taste of St Anselm’s whilst also answering  some questions that you or your child may have -

In addition to this, there are some activities sheets available on this page  that your child might enjoy completing. I do hope that you enjoy it and find it useful and informative.

If there any other questions that you may have then please do not hesitate to contact the school at

Best wishes,

Mr J Rowarth
