St Simon's Job Centre.
What is the St. Simon's Job Centre?
The St. Simon's Job Centre is a voluntary body run by the pupils ,for the pupils.
It gives opportunities for all pupils in Year 5 and year 6 to develop awareness, knowledge and skills for the world of work, by introducing children to different jobs in the classroom and across the school community.
This helps children to gain the skills and experience they need to be successful in life and builds their aspirations as to what they could achieve both now and in the future.
Giving service and working for the common good, supports our whole school community and helps us to embed our Catholic social teaching and to live out our Faith through our Gospel Values.
How Does the St. Simon's Job Centre Work?
Year 6 pupils are given the opportunity to become the administrators and leaders of the Job Centre.
They complete an application form and are are interviewed by the senior leadership team.
The chosen Administrators interview pupils who have applied for roles in the Job Centre and allocate jobs.
The administrators draw up a timetable and monitor that all pupils employed by the Job Centre understand their roles and complete their tasks well each week.
The administrators work to protect the rights of others and to support, guide and develop pupils and reward good work,
The whole Job Centre team work hard to support our school community, helping us to show and share respect across our school community and to ensure the human dignity of others
