Year 2

Welcome to Year 2's Class Page

Home Learning

The main purpose of home learning during this period of closure is to provide children with the opportunity to continue with their learning at home. Much of the work planned will need to be supervised and monitored by parents and carers.

Class teachers will monitor work completed in online software sites such as Purple Mash and My Maths. This is the work that needs to be completed and submitted by 4:00p.m each week day.

If parents have any questions or queries for class teachers regarding home learning please can they use the following email address: home.learner@st-simon.kent.sch.uk

We will continue to develop our resources for home learning.

Reading at Home

It has been wonderful to see all the children accessing the Bug Club Reading books. Sadly there is a finite number of books and many children have read them all!

To access more free online books, use:

https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page

From this web page, you can choose to select the book band level or genre of books your child would like to read.

Also remember to access the First News paper each week from this page.

Happy Reading :)

This Week's Wednesday Word

When you have finished reading the Wednesday Word each week, you can draw or write about what you have read. Maybe you can draw a poster with images from the bible story, or write about how the reading can be reflected in your own live.

When you have finished your work, take a photo of it and email it to Home Learner so it can be put up on the school website, on the Catholic Life Page, for everyone to enjoy!
