Welcome to Year 1's class page
Dear Parents, Carers and Children,
Welcome back to a busy Term 3 and a Happy New Year to all our families!
We hope that you and your children enjoyed a joyful, restful Christmas holiday filled with special moments together. As we begin this new term, we are excited to welcome our pupils back to school, refreshed and ready to learn. Thank you for your continued support and partnership-we look forward to working closely with you to ensure a positive, happy and successful term for every child.
Colossians 3:23
" Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart."
We will start with Geometry and then continue to focus on place value, addition and subtraction in Maths. Our English lessons will focus on the story of Lost and Found, Antarctic Antics, Book of Penguins Poems and variety of non-fiction texts. .
In History we will learn about the famous explorers from the past. In RE we are learning about biblical stories called Galilee to Jerusalem. Children will read about how special Jesus is to us and will be able to express their personal response to the idea to bringing love and light to others.
Please ensure the children have coats for the every changing weather
Best wishes
